Announcements Congratulation students on a great year!!!We want to say great job this year! The WVMS Orchestra students did a tremendous job preparing concerts in December, March, and May. Also, your performances at Six Flags and Dollywood were outstanding! We'd also like to say that the cookout at Concord in May was awesome!!! ![]() Midori to perform with the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra!Students and parents: WVMS Orchestra students have a rare opportunity to see the world-renowned violinist Midori perform with the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra! The concert will take place on January 27, 2011 at 8:00PM in the Tennessee Theater. This truly is a once in a lifetime chance to hear one of greatest violinist in history. WVMS Orchestra students and their families are eligible for special ticket prices of $15 each.

For Students and Parents New to Playing a Stringed InstrumentWelcome! Don't panic, we won't need instruments for the first few days. We will be talking to your students about their choice of instrument. We will also measure them for the proper size of instrument and send them home with the information. Yes, they actually come in different sizes! Sometimes, that can make all the difference in a student's success. Also, information will be sent home from the three shops that we recommend for renting or purchasing. Please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions. It is our mission to help your children be successful, a good instrument is vital to that success.
